Blue fish Delft plate
This is such a fun plate! We would see it either on a wall (it would look marvellous above a doorway) or as a cool addition to the table. It is a vintage Dutch Delft hand painted herring plate.
The two herrings lie as a relief in the middle of the dish. Plates like these have been produced since 1880 to celebrate herrings which are still an important source of income for the Dutch fishing trade. Original Delftware.
