Sailing boats in the harbour
One of our favourite paintings to date. A superb mid century Swedish painting of sailing boats in the harbour with striking colours and stunning brushstrokes. Vivid but calm and tranquil at the same time. It is the work of Willie Weberg (1910-1995) whose work can be found in the National Museum in Stockholm. A newspaper article on the author is stuck at the back of the canvas.
