Per Hasselberg sculpture of a woman and frog

£315.00
Sold Out

The sculpture of a girl playing with a frog is a smaller version of a much larger sculpture that was shown at the World Exhibition in 1889 in Paris. The artist, Per Hasselberg (1849-1894) had lived in Paris for a long time and the sculpture became so popular in Sweden that it was duplicated in a smaller size.

This one is patinated plaster, signed by the artist’s estate at the back. We think she is beautiful.

Height 24cm.
