Hedberg (1894-1959) studied in Paris and Florence and lived and worked in Copenhagen before returning to Sweden in 1935. His early work was heavily influenced by cubism but this landscape is from the latter years, and his time in Sweden.
Utilising expressive brush strokes and earthy colours, we particularly love the green pine tree. Signed and dated on canvas.
