Biot glazed tureen - small
We have two beautiful glazed faience tureens from Biot in the south of France. This classic green colour is much admired for its naturally occurring imperfections which add to the character of the pieces. The tureens are each of a slightly different shade of green but we think they look amazing as a pair.
The smaller tureen has two small chips, one on the base and one on the rim (pictured) which is not noticeable when the lid is on. This is reflected in the price. The thin darker line near one of the handles that is visible in the photographs is not a crack, just how the glaze has fired.
The smaller of the two has a lid of 17cm in diameter and is approximately 17cm high.
If you would like to buy both please contact us directly as we will be able to offer a small discount.
